Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost

At first glance it did not make sense
Why would anyone with a plan wonder?
What was their plan, how did it work?
It just seemed so contrary and counterproductive

How could anyone accomplish anything
With no real path, plan, diagram, map or agenda?
It is so hard for us to wrap our mind around this
In our world of PDAs, PCs, Androids, Apples and Asuses

After taking a second look the complexity of it
Starts to gradually unravel it's multi-layered avenues
LIke a ripe onion, revealing it's many layers
We begin to make sense of such a seemingly, silly state

They wander for that opens them to all life's possibilities
They wander because it allows them to see things
That we in our fast paced, jet-setting lives would
Most likely miss, pass by or neglect

We should take a lot away from them
In life it is important to stay moving and productive yes
But it is more important to stop and look around
To truly enjoy this world that we are fortunate to have

One second, one minute, one hour, one day
One week, one month of every year
We should take time to
Wander on through by...

Walking a little slower
Talking a little softer
Looking a little more carefully
Listening a little harder

And we may just learn to
Appreciate how fortunate we are
To have what we have and
To live the lives we live
