We were walking along not thinking anything out of the ordinary
would happen to us that day.
In our group we had Mike. He was a 8-year old short, freckled, red haired kid from apartment 3-B, in the apartment building on the corner of our block. Nice enough kid, but he always had this runny nose everywhere he went. Then there was the Gawin twins, Cedric and Charlie. Bothe were 12-year olds, who lived in the big mansion down the street who were very spoiled and bigger then the other boys. So they sometimes bullied them and liked the nickname given them TnT Twins.
Eddie, the smallest and nerdiest kid in our crew was often the butt of their bullying and pranks. He was also the youngest of us at 7. One day thankfully for Eddie that all changed. The twins up to their usual pranks were throwing rocks at a fenced in neighbor's yard, with two large rottweilers in it. Picking up his fifth rock, Charlie lobbed and noticed to his horror that he had thrown in great error. The rock he threw completely missed the dogs and hit open the turning latch that kept the dogs in the yard. Within seconds the dogs noticed the gate was open and began running after the boys.
Running as fast as their legs could carry them down the block, the two boys spotted Eddie out in front of his treehouse down the street and began yelling to him. He agreed to help them as long as they would no longer pick on him. They agreed and he lowered down a rope so they could climb up into his treehouse.
