Stories

Tell me a story of simpler times
Tell me a story with simple rhymes
One with great heroes and heroines
One with great foes and villains

Weave it to the wee hours of the night
Like a seamstress at her loom
Weave in a good battle or a good fight
Like the Spartans who fought under the moon

Tell me a story of far away lords and lands
Tell me a story of grand parties and grander bands
One with dragons, orcs, demons and dwarves
One with wizards, witches, sprites and elves

Push the boundaries of space, time and my mind
Reveal for me what lessons and truths I may find
Push new ways of seeing, hearing and feeling life
Reveal how to succeed through the toughest strife

D.C.

Cornerstone of our country as we know it
Birthplace of freedom and a place
Where generations can begin anew
LIfe without you simply wouldn't do

Cultures, people, hearts and minds
Collide to bring about change daily
Within your hallowed walls, pillars and
Lush lawns and gardens

Democratic or Republican is the question
On the lips of every politician
Afterwards heated debates are soon to follow
Two roads towards a better country

Who is right and who is wrong depends
On the television you watch or
The newspaper you read
Either way your boat floats

It is important to be involved
On some level be it great or small
For growth to continue we need to
Or the same ideas will arise

From like minded people and change
Will not bring about a better place
Whichever party you subscribe to
You should always, always VOTE!

Journeys

Here, there and everywhere we go
What our destination is we do not know
We certainly are in a hurry to get there though
And get there fast we do

In our faster cars, boats and plains
In our better sneakers, bikes and skateboards
We certainly are in a hurry to get there though
And get there fast we do

Go faster and faster and faster still
Our destination is not that far
On your feet, on a bike or a skateboard
Our destination is not that far

Here there and everywhere we go
What our destination is we do not know
We certainly are in a hurry to get there
And get there fast we do

Go faster and faster still
Our destination is no that far
In your car, boat or plain
Our destination is not that far

Enjoy your time here
For it is very short
LIfe is precious, look around once in a while
And remember life is a journey not a destination

I Love To Write

I love to write
Because it motivates me to be better
I love to write
Because it motivates you too

I love to write
Because I grow more each time I do
I love to write
Because you do too

I love to write
Because it brings new ideas to life
I love to write
Because it helps you in your daily life

I love to write
Because it brings hope to me
I love to write
Because it hope to you too

I love to write
Because life is too short not to
I love to write
Because it lets me be a part of your life

I love to write
Because it opens doors and overcomes walls
I love to write
Because it opens the door to you and overcomes your walls

I love to write
Because I can't live without it
I love to write
Because I know you can't either

I love to write
Because we are in this life together
I love to write
Because God is in this too

I love to write
For you, you and you
I love to write
Because I hope you will too

The Phoenix-2

A blistering explosion shook the earth to it's very core
A cloud of ash, soot and dust blocked out the very sun
Out of the rubble, destruction and debris light emerged
With the brightness and hopes of a better tomorrow

It was a small burning blue flame at first which later grew
At first in brightness and later in significance and influence
It rose above the rubble and utter destruction all around
Onlookers could not truly make out what they were witnessing

As time passed a magnificently burning head of a bird emerged
It's eyes glowed with the knowledge of life and death
Everywhere it looked new things and ideas came into being
Things once thought impossible five minutes prior came into existance

Trees and plants never seen before began to grow
Creatures never dreamed of before began to swim, fly and crawl
Space and time travel became everyday realities
Food could now taste good and be healthy simultaneously

It's wings expanded and an inner warmth spread through us all
Enemies became friends, battles and wars waged, simply ended
Life as we knew it completely changed for the better
Memories of yesterday and how it was simply faded to dust

History had been written within moments of this awe inspiring moment
Future generations continued to wonder where it had come from
Was it a gift from God, Buddah, Allah or Muhammad?
Or was it simply the infinitely, imaginative power of One simple idea?

Phoenix-1

Arising from the ashes and dust
Of so many forgotten yesterdays
Out of the charred and smoking rubble
Of so many broken promises and dreams

Erupting bigger then the Pompeii eruption
Brighter then the blast at Hiroshima
Stronger in reach then Katrina or Andrew
More ravaging then the tsunami at Krakatoa

Burning brighter then the sun
Wings extending around the world
Eyes cognizant of the past, present and future
One claw gripping the mortal coil, the other victory

Now things were different than ever before
Self doubt and loathing were obliterated
Along with any and all opposition and negativity
Wholeness and balance now reigned supreme

With all things forged together within himself
His inner flame changed from red to blue
Complete and utter balance could never truly be achieved
As a single blisteringly, burning blue phoenix

To defeat all doubters  and mediocrity
To completely destroy all disbelief
To conclude and finalize his inner and outer growth he had to
Merge with a female blue phoenix and together burn purest white

Tales of Times After-Part 1

We walked through the rubble of the once great city
In days long past, it's skyscrapers reached to the sky like giant fingers
Demonstrating man had never really forgotten
The story of the Tower Of Babel

It has been known my many names in many stories
Told by authors, artists and illustrators of our past
Some would call it Gotham, Metropolis or New York City
Whatever the name it's significance will never be forgotten

Before, evolution has always been thought to be something that moved us forward
For the most part this has been the case, with commonly unexpected results
When man became capable through genetic manipulation and engineering
To alter his own evolution and maturity this path became less straightforward

Through years of scientific testing and voluntary experiments
Genetic engineering made staggering breakthroughs long thought impossible
The changes all happened slowly at first and then the growth of abilities
In tested individuals far exceeded the imaginations of those tested or testing
