When the two awe struck explorers crossed the threshold
They gazed upon a hidden valley that stretched for miles
All of the walls were covered in diamonds, crystals, gold and silver
As far as the eye could see and beyond
There were the familiar palm trees that they had seen before
But they were significantly taller then any they had ever seen, with unique fruits
Looking up to the sky, they realized it was a fury of motion
From uniques birds, to disc like flying machines, to flying lizards
Off in the distance there was a series of temples similar to the pyramids,
But these all had crystals on the top and were receiving electricity from
The obelisks which surrounded them, allowing them to power devices
Neither of the underwater archaeologists had ever seen before
They realized in such a place they would stand out like a sour thumb
With that in mind they hid in a small cave they saw southwest of the entrance
Thinking they were safe, they both sighed a breath of relief
Grabbing for their radios, they attempted to communicate with no response
