American Soldier

I am a protector of all those
 Too weak to protect themselves
Whether they are from my country
Or another

I am a protector of freedom
From north to south
East to west
All over the globe

I am a protector of all people
With no discretion
Of race, creed, religion
Or belief

I am a protector of individual rights
Of the right to vote
Of the right to free speech
Of the right to live peacefully

I am a protector of all things good
Of the ideals that great men brought forth
And we still hold dear today
In all of our hearts
