My influence began to take hold from the start
I was once used to tell stories or record time
Now I am a multitude of mediums
I am a prize of the wealthy and the poor
I am priceless or I am free
I am viewed by the fortunate few or
I am free for every eye to see
I am temporary or permanent
I am portable or installed
I can make you happy or sad
I can comfort or make you appalled
My value and meaning are
In the eyes of the creator
I am a creative moment frozen in time
For many generations to enjoy
