Burning brightly in the dawn 

Of a new day for us all

You've grown strong and tall

After ages and ages of growth

You've cradled the life that we hold dear

On your overworked branches

Holding stronger then strong

Bearing the weight on your roots

Thank you for getting it all started

Thank you for lasting and lasting

For being the foundation of

All life on land and air

Thank you for bearing fruit

Thank you for providing shade

To the weak and weary

And the little animals that are furry

Thank you for the fun given

Thank you for the summers of long ago

When we climbed and climbed

Your countless branches, countless times

We look to you in the future

To hold strong for generations to come

We thank and appreciate you
